The Noble Mind Of A Master Lyricist: NRBarz Speaks Truth Through Music

Artist, lyricist, songwriter, poet, actor, entrepreneur — that’s just how much of Ricardo Neeley shone. Formerly known as Barz Noble and Noble Barz, NRBarz is a Bahamian hip-hop artist raised by a single mother. He was hailed from a passion to convey his message through his music not just to the land and waters of the Caribbean Islands but to the whole world.

NRBarz started off on the recording scale by getting introduced to a group called United which joined the FAM Records in 2003. It was then featured on the DA FAM – “We Are Family” compilation album. But after getting a couple of exposures from the project, a sudden occurrence left the group no other option but to disband. And each member chose their own path. How NRBarz chose his own is now a great hit in the industry.

Symphonic storytelling

NRBarz was no more than a fan when he fell in love with music. Hearing the Blackstarr’s “Respiration” (feat. Common) made him think that the vibes drove out the artistic direction in him. In pursuing his hip-hop journey, he found a few more artists who inspired him which are Common and Nas. It is out of question why NRBarz tells us stories limitlessly through rhymes with the pen. He admired how those artists give off meanings to their music. 

For NRBarz, creativity is greatly derived from the bite of inspirations he could get from the happenings all over the world. His songs could be distinctly heard as delicately connected symphonic instrumentals and lines hence, a classy sound and relatable story in every piece. However, his mode of storytelling through his songs was not delivered on his bars alone.

NRBarz talks greatly about his single called “Around The Bend” from his current LP “T.S.I.R.” (The Struggle Is Real). Soon, a video treatment will come out. It taps the reality of life from a child to adult life. You’ll get a word of encouragement just hearing the chorus as it goes, “Never give up and try again.” There is more advice to get from this album and surely, he shares facts about our environment through music. An earful of inspiration

A great impact on being raised in a single-parent home made the person NRBarz is perceived now. Life as a whole inspired him and its extensions through the communication and platform used for music. So, he strived to convey motivation to all who would know him and get reached by his songs.
