Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Skii Mask Lux XO`s music was shaped by his history of growing up fighting for his place in the streets. “Nothing has ever come easy at all, everybody have to get it on their own and put in their own work. I’m very thick skinned. Since being bullied at a young age and having to learn how to fight on my own, I don’t take shit from anyone.”
Skii Mask Lux XO found the heart for music when he was 14. He began his journey by writing songs and rapping with his buddies back in highschool, developing skills and learning the trade step by step. His natural artistic quality and charisma has always been there from a young age,as he tells us:
“It was so much fun because a lot of people started hearing it from my project window, I was on the 5th floor so you can definitely hear it and people started to come up and be like “yo I wanna do a track too”. Everybody used to come in there and spit freestyle.”
